Polar Sumi is the most widely spoken of the Sumi languages, with boundries stretching from the Qumal Mountains, to just a few hundred miles south of the tip of Kamalia's Sumi Peninsula. The number of Polar Sumi speakers is estimated to be somewhere between 1.5 million and 2 million.
Polar Sumi was first described by Cameron White in 2010 while studying in Kamalia. It gets its name from the fact that it is the northernmost spoken language on Poseidon, therefore, the closest spoken to the North Pole.
